who we are

Tamar MH

Hey there,

I’ve chosen not to use my real name, although some of you may have an idea of who I am—and if you ask, I’ll likely deny it.

I feel strongly that there is a need to raise awareness about the current realities within mental health services, particularly the lack of understanding that individuals with complex emotional needs can face. Through sharing these experiences, I hope to encourage more awareness, empathy, and meaningful change.

Our vision

Our vision is to shine a light on the realities of mental health struggles, drawing not only from my own experiences but also from those of others who have faced similar difficulties.

Mental health may not be visible, but that should never make people invisible—especially when they are in crisis. Too many individuals are left feeling unheard, sometimes reaching breaking point just to have their voices recognised. I can no longer accept a world where this is ignored.

Our story

Personally, my experience with mental health services in Devon and Cornwall has largely been challenging. While much of my journey has been difficult, there have been some professionals who treated me fairly, as well as two charities that have continued to provide consistent support when I’ve needed it most.
