I removed my original review and have re-rated Trevellis as a 2 star.
I was like many others probably reading this review on the waiting list for an outcome regarding the complex mental health service, a decision is supposed to be completed within two weeks, however after 18 months, I was apologised to from Trevellis saying I was accepted but as a therapist was not available I was discharged. Fast forward to now and I am on another waiting list for another therapy thats supposed to be happening within the next 1 - 2 years. (Time will tell). Overall the help and support is limited, so many services are struggling and there's never been enough funding for mental health especially in Cornwall. If you speak to others with little to no respect you cant expect them to treat you well in return, be nice, say how you're feeling and they will do their best for you. They have a lot of patients to deal with, some far worse that community care isnt appropiate, whlst I have heard conversations through the thin walls of Trevellis House and their waiting room is like something out of an old folks home the building is very old and must be an abslute lot of money to keep the place open, but even if you leave your meeting or assesment feeling like they have noit heard you out, - look around you, see where you are, your in one pretty location, many are not. Just be greatful for them taking the time to try and help you. Fight for yourself if you have to or get an advocate. I have my own mental health blog, im sure you will find it. All the best.
